Trailer: Eco Featherlite 1970 (Circa)

Well after being on/off this site for perhaps upwards of 10+ years, I thought it was time to send some pix of 'Buddy' from beautifull downtown Silt. Our 1970 ECO has been a 'Work in progress' for 16 years now. Buddy it seems had been rolled over at least once maybe twice, and I don't mean mugged. He still went down the highway fine, but had a nasty crack on the top of his head above the door entry. After f-glass surgery he looked brand spankin' new! Also, when I got him he'd been retired as a hunting/reloading site.. so there were endless amounts of shot gun pellets that continued to fall out of every nook and cr....and roll about...occasionally I still see one of them lil' buggers. And so, He 'Keeps on pushin' Us, on down the road....Jeff & Diana

Trailer: 1972 Boler American and 1979 Trillium 4500
Posts: 5,141
Four years almost to the day after picking up our first fiberglass trailer, a 1972 boler American; we bought another trailer to better fit our expanded family. After 3 16' Uhaul VT's slipped from our grasp we found a 1979 Trillium 4500 less than 5 hours from home.

Ladies and Gentlemen may I present our new (to us) and yet un-named trailer ...

Well after unsuccessful launch of Fluffer-Nugget a few months back....No lights!
We have had successs...Nice bright lights...tows nicely behind our Subie....and looks darn cute doin' it!
Took her down to the weight scales and the verdict is 1146 lbs....no table, no propane, no cushions, no water, no camping gear....DRY! So I imagine when she's all loaded up we will be adding at least another 250lbs....pretty darn respectable!
We will be taking our first camping trip next weekend and my boys are pretty darn excited....Good time ahead!

Karen, Welcome! You need to post your new purchase on the general forum with pic's so we can all see it! Congrats on a great find! Enjoy it!

Thanks. I left it at my brother-in law's so he could look over the electrical stuff, but I did go get pictures today...

Our first time out... Stayed in a friend's back 9... went great, although not all the hardware is sorted out. Just the right amount of space for first-time campers who want to tow with a SAAB 900 convertible.

We recently purchased this beautiful 1988 Bigfoot 5th Wheel Deluxe from Deb & Chuck. It was quite the adventure to purchase and then get it to Louisiana. But all the effort was well worth it and we made some new friends too!

Love our 17ft 1980 Boler... towed by jeep Liberty (manual).. oh and so do our kids. The ornament is the closest I have seen to a Boler... would love to find more for my tree.

Traveling through southwestern Nevada near the Walker River, interesting country. Supposed to be good fly fishing in this river, will have to try next trip. Marg in NW California

Here is a picture of "The World's Largest Egg", our 'Egg', and a pretty big chicken also taken in Winlock, WA.

Winlock is a really small town with streets that are really hard on trailers, especially crossing the railroad tracks by the big egg. But it was a nice thought. BTW, There are these chicken statues thoughout town, but only one giant egg. Strange thing is that it also is made of fiberglass. Go figure.

Here is ours, we have just gone for a small weekend with it up to now since I was busy working on it: new axle, electrical brakes, re-enforced the frame, fixing windows, fixing leaks, new curtains (not showing on pictures), fixing 12Vdc wiring, changing some rivets with screws and acorn bolts. Now it is ready for our vacation trip in two weeks where we are going to travel around 3000 kms with it. Next spring I should remove the small cracks on the gel coat and repaint it.

Hello, just signed up! We upgraded from a 13' Scamp to a 19' Fifth Wheel Scamp for more room to live in between our house in Iowa and my husbands job in Wisconsin. I made enough money selling our 3 year old 13' to pay for half of the Fifth Wheel new and I sold it in less then two weeks. We now have a camper that is longer then the Tundra and after 28 years of camping in tents and pop-ups I have an indoor toilet.

How Lovely to find you!

I enjoy a Trillium 1300 which I bought last year from a local couple. They really babied it so I was very lucky to have found it for such a great price! It's my first experience with an RV and I love it! After backpacking the world for several years, I came home with the mind of "whats next?" I think I may have found my answer. I plan to roadtrip around the Americas semi-permenantly.

I look forward to hanging out with this community as it seems to be such a fun and intelligent bunch.

Here is my baby:
