Campster

Here is our 1970 Campster.
Have done major work on it and now can enjoy traveling and camping in it-well maybe not till spring. Raining and cold here now and may get sleet.
Hope the weekend before Halloween will be nice for our Haunted Campout at our daughters farmette.
Anxiously waiting for spring 2014!

1970 Campster

Here's more pictures of Campster.
When we bought it it was a mess-needed lots of work but we knew we would have a great little camper when done.

Last picture.
Didnt show our solar panel-we keep it hooked to the battery when parked-has done a great job at keeping the battery charged.

Campster

Rich and Rei, this is so unique! Like the redo. I had no idea it had twin beds, and I bet you can make it a Queen? King? Double? WOW, I know of only one other camper that has this set up. Personally I think it's one of the best bed set ups there is. Enjoy, your journeys!

Campster beds

Rich made 2 foldable supports for his bed-they sit under the wood that supports the mattress. That allows the bed to be larger on his side. We can leave the table in place and use it and still leave his bed in place.
The supports fold flat and can be put under the mattress out of the way when the bed is made into the bench seat.
We can also take the table down and have the queen bed-but didnt like crawling over each other when needing to get up.
There still are some things we want to do-paint the drawer handles and hinges black.
Wanted a new counter top but the counter in there now is part of the fiberglass so wont remove it.
We dont use propane so I put a sheet pan over the cooktop and I use a small electric skillet.
We have a new high rise faucet to install also.
We use a small electric heater when it gets cool and a small window a/c for hot days. Rich made a collar for the a/c and it sits in a side window when we camp.
Afer we get through the winter we will be improving it -ready for spring camping and rallies.
