Greetings,
Yes you are correct in saying they can go on trucks. They are custom bumpers/boxes by a company called "Aluminess" out of Southern California. Our custom order took about 6 weeks to build. They were then shipped up to our favorite nearby van conversion shop; Van Specialties for installation. Both firms have been easy to work with a great peeps.

Pretty much sky's the limit... a pic of a "truck" from their website. They can put a tongue extension in the mix as part of the rear bumper to clear boxes and still tow safely:

She seems in decent condition for her 44 years. The seller did great photos and represented her quite accurately, which is good because I couldn't see her before buying.

I didn't even have to pull the bearings or replace the tires before bringing her home. The windows leak, of course, but that's to be expected. All the glass is present, but missing one window screen. There's no canvas on the pop-top, but I have an industrial sewing machine and mad sewing skillz, so that's no problem. The interior is fabulous 1970's of course, the plumbing leaks, and the wiring is scary, so I will be gutting it and rebuilding the interior completely.

All in all, though, she's actually campable at the moment, and I did stay in her a few nights while taking my time pulling her home.
