So we took the Neon. With the 5-spd, we just down-shifted as needed on grades, and it worked ok. Felt very stable... we could feel a change in the wind-pressure or whatever when a big-rig sailed by, but it was simply noticeable--it didn't feel like some big push wanting to de-rail us. And I could sure feel the wind-resistance of the upright camper behind a small, low, light car. Still, got 30mpg or so. [versus 38mpg on the way out] So--about a 650 mile tow, with the least well-suited TV in the local fleet, and it still towed well.

By summer, I'll figure to put a hitch on the Corolla--as well as a transmission cooler with fan to safeguard its automatic trans. And I reckon that will pull the UHaul more steadily, with its somewhat bigger size and weight. [Plus--the Corolla has AC!!]
How did towing with the 2008 Toyota Corolla go? I have a 2007 with a manual transmission and I'm thinking of doing the same thing.

My favorite window view.

If the trailer is attached to the truck, then I I'm going to travel tomorrow! It's the time to open the new camping season.

Lots of snow expected here, our departure is postponed. Better hunker down at home than at a highway rest area...

Who Is This Cutie???

I spotted this little darling just a few blocks away from my house. The doors of the car were open so I figured they were preparing for an adventure. (Not the best time to interrupt so I didn't )

Do you know what it is?

Love it. Why not just put it in the bed?
