Trailorboat and Bubbletop

Hi,

I just added some information on the car I built a couple of years ago. I don't know how to link to another thread, but if you look under the post I started:

1963 Trailorboat getting ready to be restored...Color ideas?

you can see some more info on the trailorboat and the car.

Scott, what is the paint on that car? I'm just doing body work on my fiberglass bodied hot rod, going over a solid medium blue (home built) chassis. I'm thinking plum crazy purple for the body, but like blue metallics too.

Thanks,

Frank

Paint on Spaceliner

The paint on the Spaceliner started out with a metallic turquoise and then was shot with several coats of clear with metalflake added into it. The metalflake was from "Rothflake" . They have a lot of different flakes to choose from. This one was called "See Sic Blue".

Great tip Scott, thanks! I'm looking to put a metallic paint on my fiberglass hot rod body, the old (and new again) Plum Crazy from Dodge. then maybe Baby or Lil flakes in Beatnik Purple. I don't want flake so big I need a new spray gun tip. I want to shoot through 2.0.

I'm a ways away from paint, still doing body work. Will give this some thought.

Thanks for the post!

Frank

I've never owned a Snoozy, just a scamp, Trillium, & Casita. If it shows somewhere that I had a Snoozy, must be something wrong in my profile. Sorry.
