We were much warmer here on Lake Ontario, 40°F this morning! Not all that unexpected, but still annoying after a week in the 70°s. 30°F predicted for tonight along with snow. Sure hope it warms up soon - I'm heading to Ontario next weekend.

Somebody just flipped a switch around here. April 2013 was the coldest and snowiest April on record in this part of the country. We just spent the past few days in Yellowstone National Park where the last of the entrance roads have just been plowed out for the season. But the sun was high and the temps approached the 70sF. The snowmelt turned the rivers turbid overnight. On the way home yesterday, it was 91 degrees F in Billings, Montana. Seems like spring was only a few days, now it's mid-summer.

Guess it's raining in all the right places here. Local lake is not just full, but flooding. I'll wait until they clean the debri before I go fishing there.

Friend of ours lives on a historical spot. 2 1/2 story house over a bluff with spring under neath. It always gushes when it rains. Last year no matter how much it rained the spring was dry. This last rain brought a gusher so guess our local drought may be over. hooray.

Was about 65 degrees today.....beautiful day. Suppose to get some rain tomorrow.....we gets lots....about 90 to 100 inches per year. Taking a little 3 day trip this Sunday in the Casita....heading around the Olympic Peninsula. Should be fun!

Memorial Day Weekend???

Forecast temp for tonight is 37 degrees F. Rain all day today with high temp of 42. Counting my blessings that tornadoes, while not unknown, are rare in this area.

Same here. Was 39 and raining this afternoon in Binghamton. I was gonna post this last week when I took it, then it was in the 80's, then the storms, now back to cold and wet. It looks like we'll have a summer this year, 4 days at a time with a snowstorm in between!

Last Monday:
