While reading a news story about the freeway being closed due to fire in Lovely downtown San Bernardino, I spotted this in a picture in the story.

Not sure I can count it as a sighting or not......... after all, Cal Trans cameras are "Almost Live"

What do you think this is?

Unhappy

I cannot confirm the existance of a tow vehicle. Looks like a commuter bus to me.

If it's a wide Body, the tug would be obscured by fat. (You can't see my Jeep from behind when it's hitched either)

I don't know about your commuter bus configuration, but the rear window definately looks to big to be the burro. Very possible that it's an MCI commuter or conversion bus.

[b]But you would see your Jeep's shadow. Your Jeep isn't a Vampire, is it?
There is no shadow in front of this vehicle's shadow.

I am scared of my own shadow, so I am glad I don't see it.

I'm just curious as to what happened to folks going the other way.
They've all been beamed up.....

So many cars going one way, none coming back? Ahhhh, these must be Los Angeles Lemmings!

There was a vegetation fire and the freeway was shut down in the other direction.

The folks you see were actually stuck in a "You can't get there from here" mode. They couldn't go forward, and they couldn't go back. It took awhile to get them out of there

In a rare example of following the crowd, I voted "overgrown Van", because it looks like a bus to me... specifically, a small coach on low-floor chassis conversion. Many of this type of vehicle have fiberglass bodies, so it could be considered an honorary egg...

Information is good. Lack of information is not so good, but misinformation is much worse. Check facts, and apply common sense liberally.
