There were three Escapes at St. Andrew State Park yesterday; our 21, a 5.0 TA, and a 5.0 single axle. Oh, and also a couple of Scamps. We were also passed by a Trillium this afternoon on I-10, heading west, near Crestview FL.

Hope you enjoyed your mini Escape rally Ray!

A Little late but I have been camping away from the internet since Thursday. At Admiralty park inSan Antonio Wednesday night among all the big units were two FG's, ours and a 17 foot Casita owned by Arnie from MN, he had just arrived in the south and was dewintering (is that a word?)

Very much so. The weather turned windy and cold toward the end, but we enjoyed the good weather while we had it and the good fellowship and conversation inside when the weather turned bad.

Two sightings today!

An Eggcamper spotted this morning headed south, likely beachbound, on Hwy 331 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida.

This afternoon, we saw an Escape 5.0 and its blue Chevy truck from Michigan northbound on I-65 in Birmingham, AL.

The whole problem with this entire thread is that when someone specifically mentions a model and color/type of tow vehicle and state of registration they are potentially announcing to the local criminals where the subjects live and may be aware of the trailer and tow vehicle combination that the subjects are away from home. Frankly, I couldn't care less who saw what, but if we must have continual "sightings" reported can't we just say something like I saw a 16-foot Scamp on I-95 in Savannah headed north and leave out details that could be helpful to criminals.

There is a Lil' Snoozy, a Scamp [bought from one of our members but they are not members], and a Casita in the park. Suffering from a bad sunburn so I did not get a chance to meet them all.
Okay, okay, I fell asleep on the beach. Self-inflicted wounds. It's better than getting a bad back from shovelling snow!!

Sometime in the last week (maybe last Wednesday?), I saw a Scamp 13 heading north on I-87 near the northern Catskills about lunch time.

I was following an Escape north on I5 in the early afternoon- never really saw the tow vehicle as the guy was really trucking along at 70-75 so I never passed him.

I did see a trailer and tow getting pulled over on southbound 5 so it appears the state patrol were not completely overlooking the speed limit.

Besides Scamp Camp in Sebring, FL, We've met a few fellow Eggs & small campers this winter. Last Mon/Tues/Weds (3-16 to18) at Hunting Island State Park, SC , 17' Casita, (2) 13' Scamp's an MPG, and 2 R-Pods. Then Weds nite (3-18) at Buck Hall Nat. Forest campground, between Charleston & Myrtle Beach, SC--the winter/early spring camp host has 16' Casita and there was a 1975 Trillium (14'?), a T@b and a wonderfully built homemade teardrop style camper along with our Eggcamper--all in a campground with only 14 sites. For the non-Fiberglass crowd, those R-Pods seem to be very popular. Really enjoy meeting FG & small camper folks!
