Spotted a Casita parked in a driveway on 45th Ave (Lake Point) in Camas, WA Christmas Day. Did we see the same one 3 years ago at Christmas?

Linda,

That was us on the way down from Julian! You beat me to the post!

We spent a couple of days at the Salton Sea, then a couple of nights at Tamarisk Grove CG in Anza Borrego SP. We were on our way to Santee to celebrate with friends.

While on the desert floor, we saw a 17' Casita in the Palm Grove Campground--they were showing it off (and smiling REALLY big!). WHO WAS THAT????

Happy New Year Everyone!

We were driving back to Dallas from Houston today and spotted a 13' Burro with TX plates being pulled by a navy blue Vibe. You were on Highway 287 heading north near the Cleburne exit around 1:30 pm today (Jan. 1st) Very nice trailer and my first time to ever see a Burro in person! Very nice - I especially like the window in the front of the trailer.

Yesterday, Sunday December 31st, we passed a 16' Casita going westbound on Evan Hughes Highway,(2 lane frontage road parallel to Interstate 8) between Plaster City and Ocotillo, CA. I do not remember what the tow vehicle was... We were going eastbound...

Was it you?

12/30 near our campsite at Lake Corpus Christi State Park, we saw a nice Scamp 5th-wheel sitting in a storage lot/side yard in a little place called Lake City.

Last night a nice, shiny 17ft Casita tugged by a red minivan stayed in the CG. They were all closed up when we went by on our evening walk, and gone early this morning. We were sorry to miss a visit with another FG family.

We'll be looking for more Eggs as we head to Houston and beyond. Take care, everyone - L 'n D

OK, so we made a side-trip to Mission, TX and a drive thru the Rio Grande valley on the recommendation of some fellow snow-birds. Nice weather, but the crowds & traffic do not appeal to us, so it's back to country roads and Texas State Parks, which have been terrific so far. Mission has 13 pages of RV parks in yellow pages! We did discover if the word 'ranch' is in the name, the people probably own their lots within the park ... all part of our learning curve.

SB on Hwy 77 near Harlingen, a Casita heading for where we just left - lots of waves across the median.

Next, a Casita pulled into & quickly out of a rest area; they were also SB on Hwy 77 - no chance to communicate.

Tonight, there is a Casita with white pickup parked near us at Wal Mart in Kingsville, TX ... hope to make contact in the morning & share a FGRV card before they pull out.

Were any of these outfits friends from this Forum? L 'n D

We spotted a Burro in the Arby's parking lot in Montgomery, AL at Eastchase about 3 p.m. today. I think it had the number 47 or 49 in large numbers on the back above the window.

We have been on the road for three weeks and today is the first day we have seen other fiberglass units and today we saw four. We are in Quartzsite Arizona. We saw a seventeen foot Casita pulled by a golden truck and a 16 foot with no tow around camping out highway 95. Then as we were heading back to our trailer in town we saw two Casitas coming off the freeway 10 and heading out towards the desert. Hope you guys have as much fun as we have the last few days here. Time for us to move on.

I saw a 17/ 19 ft Casita on I-10 Between Phoenix and Tucson just south of Eloy. Judging from the Texas plates they were heading back home. TV was a Chevy/GMC Suburban type vehicle. Nice rig!!!!

Last week of Jan - Galveston Island SP. TX there was a Casita with burgundy tug in the CG, but we never could connect with it's people - rats.

Jan 31 - Naval Air Museum at NAS Pensacola, FL - parked next to a shiny new 16 ft. Casita, but we stayed in the museum a looong time, so sadly it was gone when we returned to our outfit - double rats ..

Today (2/4) - Lady Lake, FL - SB on US27 toward Leesburg, FL - Scamp 5th-wheel Deluxe pulled by a dark blue SUV-type vehicle. We waved & flashed but driver was intent on traffic & lane change - triple rats ...

It is a treat every time we spot another FGRV - hope you all are having fun! L 'n D

Went to Harris Beach SP. in Brookings,Oregon on Sunday 2/11/07 and meet D ( Dave) & Sharon Tharp from Palouse, Washington who are members of the fiberglass site.
They have a 16'Scamp with a Toyota T-100 PU on a three month trip, we had a nice visit.

On Tuesday the 13th we saw a 17' Bigfoot towed by a Silver Toyota Tacoma 4 door PU camped at Lobe SP. near Brookings, didn't see the owner around.

Today 2/14/07 saw a 16' Scamp towed by a red Chev or GMC Pu going north on I-5 by Valley of the Rogue SP. at 2:30 pm.

D Tharp from Palose, Washington wanted me to say HI to Donna D for him.

We're out on the road again with the what used to be the blue boler, now a pewter color to match our Pathfinder tow.

Saw a Scamp checking out the scenery in Joshua Tree Nat Park. Also a Trillium parked at the Slabs.

Its great to be out again. Out of the cold in Northern Cal to 80 degrees here at Niland.

Hope to see a lot of fg's out there:

Two more fg's today -- a 13' Scamp and a 13' Pacer at a swap meet in Niland. Both used by sellers as storage and rest stop. Sad to say total lack of care. But things are precious to folks out here.
