We have been campground hosting at Montauk State Park in Missouri since Oct. 1. During our stay 2 Casitas have registered, along with an older 13' foot Bigfoot, a 13 foot scamp, and a 16 foot Scamp. This is the first week-end this month with vacancies. The vacancies were even sparce during the week for those weeks. Montauk has the current river running thru it and is popular with trout fishermen/women. Several people have stopped by our site to inquire about our Casita, we have explained the benefits of all-molded towables. They even got to meet our 12 year old great pyrenees who is with us. It has been a great experience and yesterday I even caught some trout....hope to go fishing tomorrow as it is the last day of catch and keep until next march in our state trout parks. We have signed up to host here again next Oct....the good lord willing and the creek don't rise.

Sightings!

Just finishing up a week's travel in CA... Surprising thing is that I didn't see a single molded FG trailer anywhere! Passed two Sunraiders, though.

Most usual sighting was a beautifully restored Eriba Puck (with unusual arched wheel well covers, like the old 50's autos) pulled by a 1st generation Ford Escape headed into Paso Robles Saturday on CA-46. Thanks to this forum I knew exactly what it was! 👍

Scampy got lots of attention, and one offer to buy. This was a new experience for us. Not selling, of course, but my wife was impressed!

There is a Scamp parked a Rocky Bayou State Park, Niceville, FL. I will swing by tomorrow, hopefully for a chat... SD

Rocky bayou s.p. Florida

The 13ft.(?) Scamp here at the park has a Maine licence plate on the Subaru Outback Stn Wgn TV. I had a chat with the lady but I do not know if she is a member.

13 ft Scamp on I-95 outside of Savannah, Georgia. Towed by a white truck. (We were the idiots beeping the horn and waving like maniacs.) Sadly, we were in our car, with our Scamp packed up for the winter in Massachusetts.

Driving through Topsail Hill State Park yesterday. Met Eileen Gerrish at their Casita in the park.

On our way to Florida's Panhandle, too. We'll be on 30-A, just a couple of miles from Tops'l. That's a beautiful park.
We're heading south on I-65, and just spotted an old Airstream motorhome from Maryland. Ok, so it's not fiberglass and not a trailer, but still cool.

Yesterday when we drove South past the rest area on I-95 just South of Fredericksburg, VA we spotted what appeared to be a 13' Scamp pulled by a tow vehicle with an orange kayak on top parked there. Probably escaping the winter and heading to FL. If we knew a Scamp was going to be there we would have stopped to say Hi!
Tomorrow we hitch up our 16' Scamp and head for TX.
