Hi Joy! Thank you for the background on the Acorn. We were aware Acorn was the Scamp ancestor, but did not have any other details. We always learn lots from your posts, and look forward to meeting you at the Gathering. Take care & stay warm, LdB

Today, 2:45pm, Oregon Highway 26, about mile marker 30 -- just outside Elsie.

You were going west, driving a red SUV and pulling a Scamp 13'. I was heading east in a green Mercury Villager, pulling my 13' Bigfoot.

Nice to see you.

Sighting - 17 ft. Casita. Sunday, 21 January 06 at the Long Pine Campground in Everglades National Park.

We were on a picnic and drove through the campground. No one was home at the Casita.

I was out riding patrol on my mule in Joshua Tree National Park today (1-29-06) and spotted a Scamp headed down the main park road. My riding parter and I were coming out of the camping area at Hidden Valley. I looked up and saw the Scamp but missed getting a good look at the towing vehicle.

January 28, I was cross country skiing out of Belknap Hot Springs in Oregon with my xc ski club. I happened to go to the upper level, where there is additional housing and campgrounds. I was amazed to find a litttle 'egg' just sitting there. Of course, I had to go investigage, and found Fade and Trish, who came to visit at the Oregon Gathering at Bullards Beach last July, and their 1977 Land and Sea Trailer!

Casita or Scamp? Sighted some unknown fellow travellers on Sunday, February 5, at about 10:30am in Coos Bay, Oregon on Hwy 101 headed north. We caught a glimpse of the back of the trailer ahead of us, and immediately gave chase! But we were stymied in our pursuit by a very slow sedan, lots of traffic, and by a couple of red lights. Sorry we missed the chance to wave hello!!!

Two less common ones in one day! Woo Hoo!

#1 was a Scamp 5er, whitish tug, at 10:30 am, you were eastbound on highway 58 at Keene, ca. (About 10 miles before of Tehachapi) Porta Boat or surfboard thingy hanging on the street side.

#2 was a Compact Jr, White top, blue bottom, towed by a brown pick up with a high top canopy, heading toward Sequoia on highway 198 about 10 miles east of Visalia. 5 pm.

While camping the last 4 days at Harris Beach SP. in Brookings Oregon we meet Rod and Genny from Vancouver BC. They bought a 1972 Trillium 13' 3 weeks ago and was on their first trip and was having a great time. I told them about this great site and they said that they will check in when they get back home.
The weather was great a little cool but sunny with light wind at times. Jay

Close to 1:00 pm heading south on I-5 near Wilsonville, Oregon. I believe it was a 16' Casita. Didn't get a good look at the tow vehicle.

Sunday, February 19 - Yucca Valley, CA - Walmart parking lot, close to the Jack In The Box. Scamp pulled by silver pickup with a matching shell. It was early in the morning and none of the campers parked in the area were up and around. I didn't even drive over to that section of the lot to get a better look since there were probably people sleeping and I didn't want to disturb anyone.

OOOH OOOH.. I saw one on I-5 Southbound today too!

Noontime, an older Bigfoot, tandem axle, in the dead zone north of Kelso Washington, pulled by a big red SUV thingy.
