Just minutes ago I saw a 17 Casita with a Red tug "CIA" license plate from New Mexico at Black Oak Casino outside of Sonora, CA.

I left a note on the windshield with my phone number.

Was in Pioneer, CA last Thursday and noticed a fiberglass trailer parked on Meadow Vista. It was covered but to me it looked like it might be a Scamp 16, but could have been a Casita.

I'll be back up there tomorrow so I plan to put a note on the cover as the trailer sits just far enough away from a home that I wasn't sure which house it might belong to, if any, could be on an empty lot.

My friend I've know for the absolute longest time lives on Meadow Vista. Their deck looks out to where the trailer is but there are too many trees to see it.

Joy, you must be the little fiberglass My brother said he has seen around Sonora before, when we were looking I called him to put him on the search. I was trying to tell him what to look for and he was like I have seen one around here. He's always looking for old car's and I knew if he knew what I was looking for he might be able to spot one for sale. But in the end it was craigslist where we found ours. It's just funny when you mentioned Black Oak I knew exactly where you where ( Did you win anything?) Hope the Black Oak casita'ers contact you. Robin

Robin,

Nope didn't hear from the Black Oak Casita. Yeap, I did win about $100, went to dinner at the Elks Club and gave it to them.

I presume your brother lives in Sonora also.
The only Scamp I've ever around town is me.
My Scamp and I will be downtown Friday at Trotter welding. I'm having a cross bar added to the tongue so I can mount the new center jack I purchased at the Scamp factory, when I was back in Minnesota.

There's a fellow with a 13 Scamp who's girl friend lives here in Sonora. We've tried to meet up when he's here but haven't as yet. Well, I was gone all summer that could be why...hummmmmm!!!!

Joy, glad to know someone win's there.......... I know I never have. I should just hand my money to them when I walk in their door . Oh too bad you didn't hear from the Casita in the parking lot. You must be the one he's seen around. He did say, he has seen more of them in Mowtown and Oakdale. I think he was telling me he had seen some kind of fiberglass in a yard down by Jamestown but thought it was in pretty bad shape. I don't blame you for being gone most of the summer, he has told us that it's been a hot one there this year. Enjoy Fall! Robin

Robin,

There's a Trillium sitting in a yard on the outskirts of Jamestown. Looks like it needs a little attention.

Walking to an interent cafe for lunch in Saranac Lake, NY about noon time friday september 26) and was very surprised to see a 5th wheel Scamp towed by a Toyota truck I think that may be the first 5th wheel on the road that I have seen in this area. I think the plates were NY. Hope to get out for another camping trip with the Burro before snow flies.

Just as we pulled out, a Scamp pulled in to the parking lot of Keepsake Quilting in Center Harbor, New Hampshire. About 2 PM and Kyle had been dumping on us ever since we left Acadia National Park in Maine.
Casita, about three spaces down in the KOA near Brattleboro, Vermont. Gotta do that laundry, you know.

Sighted today in Florence, Oregon - a 5th wheel Scamp with star constellations on the shell. It looked great! Maybe it's the trailer Pat and Arleen recently sold...

I brought home my "new" Burro this past weekend. Saw a Scamp in Missouri, westbound on I-44 Sunday. And even though I rarely see any FG trailers right around my home town of Broken Arrow OK, today there was a Casita with TX tag parked about 2 blocks away in front of someone's house... looks like they're visiting.

Friday, Willows CA pulling out of a Chevron Station there sat a Scamp 13 waiting for the light to change. I waved but couldn't see if the driver waved back. As the Scamp past in front of me the male driver did not turn his head and make eye contact. The Scamp had personalized plates "SAMCAMP". He took off like a bat out of H.... north bound on I-5 while I went south bound. The Scamp looked in good condition, possibly a late model one.

Christi;

Maybe you saw Pete! He camped at Ft. Warden last week when we took our Scamp out for it's maiden voyage! He was going to go to Seattle and visit friends. Visit his blog Pete and the Wonder Egg! He's very nice. Our Scamp did fine on our first outing and withstood 50 mile winds the second night there. Love this forum! Betty and Norm;aka Cory!

I passed a 16 ft deluxe Scamp this evening headed south on interstate 35 south of Duluth, Mn. A light colored SUV was pulling it with a man behind the wheel. Was it YOU???
