Wow, a double sighting this morning. I thought that I was seeing double for a moment. There were two casitas, either 16-17 foot ones (traveling together?). I didn't see the first tug, but the second looked to be towed by a blue Toyata Highlander. This was this morning on west bound I-10 near Chandler, AZ. Were either of these you? Happy travels on our rainy highways this morning!

WOW, we were sighted!

On 3-20-10 while driving eastbound on I-10 at mile post 355 near Bowie Junction, AZ, we were sighted by a Bronze colored Honda Mini-van. They passed us and then slowed down so the passenger could take several pictures of our Excalade and Casita.

Other sightings we made while on on round trip to Salt Lake City:

3-9-10 - Casita - Silver Dodge pickup - Eastbound I-20 - Monahans, Texas
3-10-10 - Casita - Dreamweaver Campground - Deming, NM
3-11-10 - Scamp - Rest Area - Westbound I-10 - mile post 61 - Gage, NM
3-13-10 - Casita - Southbound I-15 - mile post 168 - Filmore, Utah
3-20-10 - Casita - Dreamweaver Campground - Deming, NM
3-22-10 - Scamp - Westbound - mile post 283 - Abilene, TX

Two! sightings in the East today!

On I95, at 9:00 am, around Fayetteville, NC. Going North, looked like a 16 or 17 Casita. Not clear on TV

2 hours later, still on I95, 11:00 am, around Florence, SC, going North, looked to be a 13' Trillium!! I think TV was a dark red pickup.

It's amazing how one can spot a "egg" but can't see what is towing it.

Best

About 10am today driving south on US 395 through Reno. Saw a Bigfoot (I think) pulled by a blue (or was it green?) Honda Element. Happy travels!

Does it count if it was on the telly? This was shown on BBC America tonight.

Great show. It's too bad they hate caravans. Poor Cadet ... (or Microlite Discovery!)

Today in Quartzsite, AZ:

16ft Casita and small white pickup with shell, parked at the "Main Street Laundramat" - yes, even in Paradise, some things never change and ya gotta do the wash!

13ft Boler, black below the belly band, silver-grey above. You were headed north outta town on AZ95 - Did not get a good look at the tug.

The snowbird flocks are migrating! L 'n D

I had a good laugh at that one. I used to have a "Caravan" when I lived in England, and pulled it with my Dodge Caravan. I was in charge of a control tower in the same county they flew across so I had a chuckle over that part too. Looked like a smooth ride, right up til the end!

Another 17 foot Casita pulled into a space three down from us yesterday. They didn't know about this forum but are teachers on a long weekend and got lost and saw all the fuss and pulled in looking for a place to stay for a few days. They have been out buying so we haven't had a chance to visit.

Time to head home 2400 miles. Wonder if we will be spotted?

yesterday afternoon - Monterey. they were heading northbound on US1.

it was the shiniest bright orange (i think) 13' Boler towed by a classic VW pickup truck (light blue and white). i could not get over the shine!

made my day!

what the heck ... 2 for 2 ... same road same spot (give or take a mile) - Monterey, heading North. and today i saw a Casita 13' (i think). squarish, had some 90's looking decals (like lightening or something). looked good though. too focused on trying to figure out the egg so i didn't even notice the TV.

April 2 & 3, Deception Pass State Park, Washington. Dark blue possible Boler 17.

April 4, same park, two Bigfeet - one short, one middling, parked nearly side-by-side.

April 3, Oak Harbor, WA, dark red Trillium with owner walking into Applebees.

I did not speak to anybody, though.

April 5 we saw two Casita's heading east as we were heading west on I-40. They were heading into the same storm of super high winds and blinding dust storms. Hope everyone made it through safely.

Driving up I-5, we saw two southbound Casitas and passed one trilium that was heading north on the 6th and 7th.

This morning, westbound on I-80 we passed a 16ft. Scamp - there was a transfer permit in the back window. Tug was a gold 4-door pickup. Didn't make much sense to honk or wave, as we did not have our Egg attached ... so we just smiled. Hope you will have fun with that new-to-you FGRV! L 'n D

Spotted friday, April 9, 2010 near I-10 and Wild Horse Pass in Chandler, AZ, an Oxygen being towed by a Suzuki Grand Vitara with Canadian license plates. What a cool looking trailer and is the second time that I have ever seen an Oxygen. They look like they should tow so very well with that "canoe" shape, but may be tight inside. Anyway, happy travels if it was you!

Spotted Trillium sitting in parking lot at Mammoth Cave National Park visitor center on Saturday 4/10/10.
They left before I could say Hi!
We were at Jellystone Park nearby.
