Spotted about 5 p.m. today, in Chandler, AZ, a 17' Casita being towed by a Ford Freestar (?) minivan. You were going east on Chandler Blvd. Finally nice weather here to be out and about...Enjoy your trip.

The odd'est egg sighting I have ever saw!
Weather was finally nice today, the whole day! so thought we would take a ride out to a lake in Eastern Colorado. Well we had made a quick pit stop at the rest stop in Sterling Colorado, pulling out of the rest stop parking area I see what looks like a Black Egg. (I have seen a black one before but rolling down the highway going in the opposite direction so I only got a glimpse. Any way todays was parked/standing still. So I race over to this parking lot (which turns out to be the Jail) and sure enough it was a Black Egg, I think Casita but I didn't want to stop cause I had probabaly already drove a little to deep into the Jail parking lot, but the trailer had huge Sheriff Decals on the side. The impression I got was it's an officail "egg" for the County Sheriff of Logan County. Odd, and I wish I would have had my camera but I didn't.

I didn't even think to use my cell! I got so flubbed up when I realized I was driving in the back lot of the county jail.........LOL Figured I was probably not supose to be back there. There were cameras all over the building, they probably would have came out and investigated what I was up to had I gotten out and taken pic's. There is a lot I will do to see a "glass egg" but going to jail is not one of them!

March 4 on I-40 near Eufaula OK, was passed by a Scamp 13 with a sign, "Tinker's Toy," in the window. Being towed by a red pickup. I'm wondering if the owner likes to tinker, or if it's some reference to Tinker AFB.

That may have been Thom Roland heading back to CO from the Scamp Camp on FL last month, but I think he has a 16. Did you see pictures of Snoopy on the side?

Eastbound near Bridal Falls BC on the Trans Canada, late afternoon, looked like a brand new Escape, maybe 13 foot, probably 17 foot, could have just been picked from the factory. We were very excited to see it, we flashed our headlights and waved like fools...

We have driven 2800 miles so far but here is the count we have seen so far.
We saw a newer Casita in Arizona heading west with a white TV, A brand new Scamp 13 heading west with a red TV. Then we saw a Casita in a junk yard at exit 208 in New Mexico on highway 40. And lastly we saw an older Casita heading the same way, east as we were in Tennesse on highway 40. Tomorrow and Sunday we have another 900 miles and then 2500 to head home. So far we have not been spotted by anyone on this web site.

We are in Roung Top Texas doing the Coles' Antique show and while heading back from the post office, we noticed another 17 foot Casita just a field over from us. Maybe this week some time we will be able to stop by and say hi.

Wow, a double sighting this morning. I thought that I was seeing double for a moment. There were two casitas, either 16-17 foot ones (traveling together?). I didn't see the first tug, but the second looked to be towed by a blue Toyata Highlander. This was this morning on west bound I-10 near Chandler, AZ. Were either of these you? Happy travels on our rainy highways this morning!

3-10-10 - Casita - Dreamweaver Campground - Deming, NM
3-11-10 - Scamp - Rest Area - Westbound I-10 - mile post 61 - Gage, NM
3-13-10 - Casita - Southbound I-15 - mile post 168 - Filmore, Utah
3-20-10 - Casita - Dreamweaver Campground - Deming, NM
3-22-10 - Scamp - Westbound - mile post 283 - Abilene, TX
