A week ago we camped for one night at a "gold mine" in North Carolina. Parked in the storage area, which looked more like a trailer graveyard, was an old Burro 13 foot camper. We were told the owner shows up occasionally to use it, and won't consider selling it.

I saw what appeared to be a Casita on a Honda generator commercial last night. Anyone else seen it?

Although not Fiberglass I saw something disturbing yesterday. I saw a VW Toureg pulling a THREE axle airstream, that was disturbing.

Today, 04/10, Northbound Highway 99, central California... Just south of Galt @ about 10:15 AM a Cute Casita pushing a white tug. I was headed SOUTH on the freeway and only caught it out of the corner of my eye, and by the time it registered, was too far behind me to notice the rig... if not pickup then an SUV.

At the risk of digging myself into a deeper hole, I just thought it was great that a possible widow had not given up camping but was continuing to do it alone. Have met several recently in that situation and enjoyed hearing how they do it and where they go. Good attitudes on their part.

Smile oldies but goodies ?

Ouch!!! My shins hurt. I have camped for over seventy years and am still going strong. Hope to be in the Nevada desert this spring and then on to eastern Oregon for some looking around. Don't kick too hard. Ha, Ha, I think I can take it. I really like to "tune in" to this forum in the morning, it is full of good tips, good camping spots, good laughter, etc. Be sure to flash your lights when you go by. Marg in NW CA

Yeah, those 3 axle Airstreams are pretty disturbing
The Toureg, on the other hand, is a quite capable tow vehicle with about a 7700 lb tow rating.

Today WE were headed SOUTHBOUND on Highway 99 going thru Elk Grove Calif with our Scamp 5er about 1:45

YOU were a Casita headed NORTHBOUND.

We were headed home to Galt... after a mid-weekend trip up in the northern part of the state.

Where were YOU headed???????????

Forgot to mention that I saw a 13 ft'r, two-tone tan I think, over the weekend, heading west out of Bozeman. Older Scamp, Boler or the like... Have fun!

Smile sightings

Wed. afternoon, spotted a Scamp (?16') pulled by a red pu on highway 299. You were headed east between Blue Lake and Willow Creek, CA. Happy trails!!! Marg

Has anyone seen the movie Cabin In The Woods? I think that was a Boler about 15-20 minutes in to the movie.
