Ray, you are lucky in that you have green grass, flowers and leaves on the trees. Florida looks beautiful! Enjoy. I have two feet of greyish dirty snow on the ground. daylight savings time is here, but looks like spring is still a couple of months away........Burrrr. Mud, slush, ice from slush refreezing, etc is still ahead for us northerners.
Family is the only thing keeping me here all winter (plus being chicken to venture out on my own). Florida looks beautiful in that picture.

I cheated a little on the grass. Our grass isn't typical of the area because I put down winter rye - it stays that green all winter! The neighbors' grass is starting to green up, but not quite to this level yet.

Point of Order!

I hereby protest any "Spring is Sprung evidence" pics/anecdotes posted by folks from Florida and other such tropical environs....

Isn't it always Spring in such locations?

Francesca

Well the real sign of spring having arrived here in Vancouver is when a friend suggests that you go skiing with them in the morning and that we can stop and play a round of golf on the way home. That actually happened yesterday so I guess spring has indeed sprung!

I wish! Spring is the only time of year we actually have a lawn and need to mow it!
Since we don't irrigate (Water is Expen$ive!) by the end of April it dries up and recedes into the dirt.

It's amazing how the weather affects your mood. It was more like summer today than spring (almost 80), and I loved it. I'm ready for camping season!

Spring

This morning when I woke up and looked outside there was 10 inches of new snow 30 MPH winds and a temp of 9 DEG below zero Fahrenheit . Spring is at least 6 weeks away here in Northern Wisconsin. Temperatures are forcasted to be 10 to 15 Deg below normal until at least the first of April

I'm also from northern wisconsin, weather is as Steve says. Spring is a ways off. there's a 3' snow drift in front of the pole barn door and getting higher by the hour......Just hope i can get my new Scamp in there when we pick it up April 8th. Maybe we should just pick it up in Backus, point it south and go.

Still cold here with not much indication of future improvement.

Today my little Furbabies nonchalantly walked up a snow drift that was high enough to cover the top of the fence, then ambled down the other side and set off down the road for a walk. The drift has been there for ages without them noticing its possibilites, but it seems a cat walked that way at some time during the night. Darn cats aren't supposed to give the dogs ideas.

Mowed grass today. Roadsides have flowers, bluebonnet, Indian-paintbrush,and others that this Yankee doesn't know.

Those wet front steps yesterday were actually pure ice and made me do a feet up, bum walk down. Now I have a sore butt, one wrist bandaged and a bump on the noggin.
Just like getting old.... It sucks.

OUCH!

I loathe icy walkways - especially when they take me by surprise.

Hope the hurting bits get better quickly.
