Snow Priorites

Well, we are getting hit with some VERY heavy, wet snow here in lower Michigan. Started about 9AM today, supposed to continue most of the night, into tomorrow. The forecast was for up to 12 inches.

Since it's so heavy, it is compressing down, and right now we only have about 5 or 6 inches. I had to head out to get the dogs some food, and had no problem getting out of the drive or back in. All my neighbors are out now in the snow with their snowblowers, getting a jump on clearing their driveways before dark. I decided on a different priority. My Scamp looked like it needed some TLC in my driveway, so I took out my garage broom and cleared the roof off. Pain in the butt - doesn't push off very easily - this is a HEAVY snow, and I've seen the pictures! Should be safe for another few hours.

The driveway can wait until tomorrow - I have no place else to go tonight.

Good idea. Rain on top of snow is the worst as far as roofs are concerned. I did mine this morning. In the fall I put a good coat of wax on the roof. It does make it easier to brush off. Raz

Pretty but could get dangerous if it continues overnight.
