We're moving to Emerson MB sometime this year from S. ON however perhaps we should reconsider our plans with this never ending winter! We thought buying an egg and going south would solve our "putting up with winter" problems but we'd have to be home by May to a MB spring?!

Went to Keystone State Park last few days.
Came back today because the weather is falling from the 80' & 90's
down to the 30's. Poor, poor tomato plants. bye, bye.
I gave up on gardening as I can no longer do what needs to be done.

I'll just have to camp, drink coffee, and eat donuts..............

Sounds perfect to me too, after all you can't pick your vacations temperatures. We're holidaying in balmy (not so much) NC, and the temp here is 16C and at home in Ontario now it's 19C. At least the trees are green down here!

Don't think I don't believe it. The proof has been there for years. I worry about my children and granddaughter. I walk to the train and back as often as I can and have only driven to the office a couple of times this year, even though riding the El is less than enjoyable. Its not much, but it sure seems that way on the last 5 blocks before I get home.

Global Freezing caused the global meltdown;
Now global warming is causing the global freezing.

Hmmm.........seems like a "cycle" to me.

I believe in "Climate Change"; Four times a year.

I mowed the church lawn today before the next freeze comes in..........lol.

Man, what a harvest of moss we have under the trees.
I was wondering if I could move the moss? I think when I tried, it died.

No green thumb; not even a brown thumb; must have a black thumb.

If mowing moss killed it... I would register/copywrite the idea and make millions. I wonder if I can make common moss a world food source? My thumb dropped off months ago....

LOL I hear you but believe or not its an interesting phenomena to read about.

For those who may actually be interested & want to understand the theory behind what is happening or isn't happening in different regions of the Antarctic there is a an interesting recent article on the topic that is pretty well written making it a bit easier to understand. Polar Ice Sheets Melting Faster Than Ever 04.02.13.

Not saying everyone needs to be a believer its just an interesting topic that even the scientists acknowledge isnt fully understood as yet but it would appear that the majority of scientists are starting to be a bit more consistent in regards to their beliefs are as to the probable cause. Or at least more so than they were just a few years ago.

Weather man is predicting snow and/or mix here tonight.
Brrrrrrrrrrrr. I love snow and winter at it's proper time,
but I don't like 50 degree swings.

Here in North Dakota it was in the 50's today and suppose to get warmer over the next week. Nothing but the big piles of snow left. Most all has melted. The storm went South of us and whacked Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Thanks for sharing, Glenn. BTW...I thought we had dodged the bullet. It's snowing this morning here in Saint Paul. At least I got to take my new Weber on a First Grilling run last night. Spectacular salmon with a soy-maple syrup-chili flake marinade. But I digress...

Six days in a row with sun in Vancouver, amazing for the WET coast! Perhaps you'll have a summer like you did in 2011 - wasn't that the year you had constant sun?
