We saw an interesting RV in Bakersfield this February.

I had read about these vehicles, but this is the first time I actually saw one.

Talk about boondocking!

My first thought was that it was one of those front loading garbage trucks that lift the bucket over the front to dump.

Might as well be one from my use for it. It does, however, meet my "wretched excess" camping philosopy. Perhaps too wretched. Still, I'm kind of glad it's out there somewhere in case I find I have too much money.

I've seen a few rigs similar to this down in places like Utah, Nevada and the California desert. They usually look pretty clean and not like they've done much off-roading though! I guess if you wanted to do the sort of traveling that's depicted in the video one of these babies might be just the ticket though.
