At 10 watts of power from the solar panel this unit is a mite small. Most RV panels are in the 60-100 watt range. It might have a purpose maintaining a charge on a 12 volt battery but it would not be able to charge your RV battery after use.

While I agree for the price of solar these days this unit is high for the watts you get & also agree more watts is better but when solar was still a pretty pricey option I had a 15 watt panel that served me well for a number of years. If it was nice and sunny out and no tree coverage to worry about it would keep my battery topped up each day while dry camping - but all it had to recharge up though was the power usage of the Fantastic Fan (used sparingly), water pump and lights all LED, also used sparingly.

I bought a 60w panel for $60.00 from Solar Blvd several months ago.

I have a 5-watt trickle charger that I leave tied to the front of my trailer while it's parked at the storage lot, and it does a nice job keeping the battery topped off, even after taking some tumbles and getting some big cracks in the face.
