Sold before post shows up??

Ok, I'm confused. I've seen several Eggs show up on Fiberglass-rv-4sale.com that are listed as "Sold" yet they never showed initially as available and still havent showed up on AllofCraigs.com. How are the eggs being sold before they even show up? This one is a prime example:

1986 Scamp camper | Cottonwood, AZ | Fiberglass RV's For Sale

It was never listed as available and I have been checking at least hourly.

Befuddled

Hi, Melissa

Maybe it's a sort of come-on for prospective advertisers- an archived sale or something.
I noticed that the only other thing on the page (bottom) are the following "testimonials" from satisfied sellers::

"I sold the Scamp trailer to the first appointment I had today."
******
"I had sixteen emails showing interest in the trailer"
******
"I love the website. Very well organized."

If that site works similar to Craigslist it takes about 15-30 minutes for an ad to show up after being posted.Someone local could have seen it and bought it during that time.Just my guess.

I have to agree with Brian, it's probably advertised elsewhere too. I have a site hosted by GoDaddy. Sometimes it's not the fastest refresh in the world.

Since Greg, the owner of Fiberglass-rv-4-sale is a valued member here on Fiberglassrv, why not ask him?

It seems to me that a lot of confusion is created by the similarity in the names of these two sites. According to what I know, there's no commercial connection between "FGRV" and "FGRV's For Sale".
Other than having reciprocal links, each to the other, they're distinct commercial sites that earn livings for their owners according to different marketing models.
Donna's right on target when she says that inquiries about "ghost" ads should be directed to the owner of "FGRV's For Sale", and on his/her own site.
That having been said, certainly it would be useful to the rest of us here to be kept informed of the results of such inquiries, once responded to.

Many people list on more than one site.
