Sold my home!

My dream of living full-time in my Bigfoot will soon be a reality. I've sold my home; my 2 female cats and I will start our new lifestyle in May.

NEVER say never; never give up; never look on any side except the positive one. If you want it bad enough, you'll find a way to make it happen.

Hi there. Congrats.

I have a question tho. What do you do for a mailing address? You need some type of address for mail and your vehicle registration and insurance need a mailing address. I hear a lot of people doing this lifestyle but have always wondered about how the mailing address is handled.

Rick

Congratulations on getting the house sold!
It's understandable that you didn't sell the cats as well, since they wouldn't bring enough money to buy much of a trailer... ...LOL... so you might as well keep them for cuddling. I have thought about taking my cat camping with me, but she has a weak stomach already and I don't want her going BLEAHHH all over the interior.

Evelyn,
That's wonderful. I think your cats will adapt very quickly. I wish you safe travels.
You inspire me to make a decision to do the same thing. Tired of just living to pay for this house and all the bills that go along with it.
You GO Girl.

Thanks, all!

Not sure how much wandering I'll do at first. Due to some family issues, I need to stay put for now. BUT, I no longer have to be concerned with maintaining a stick-built home. Freedom is much more important to me.

I have rented a year-round spot at an awesome RV park only 10 miles away. Very private spot nestled in the forest, & the beach is only a quarter mile away. Tough job, but someone has to do it.

Rick: I'm staying in the same area & keeping my current P.O. Box, so mail isn't an issue for now. Not sure how others handle this, but when I was out of state for a year in 2007, my angel of a neighbor would send me my mail once a week. Before I left, I provided the envelopes, gave him $$ for postage, & it worked really well.

And, Mike: tried to sell the cats, but they're so spoiled no-one wanted them. Can't think how that happened??
