Sold our old stickie!
Folks came all the way from Boston to buy it, and gave us the asking price, so we're on our way to an egg at some future time. Still need to sell our Subaru Outback, had that on craigslist since Sunday at a fair price, no bites. Next is selling the GMC. Then it's gonna be saving pennies...

Frank, hang in there... things happen for a reason and at their own time (I truly believe it!)

Remember waiting for what you really want seems like forever. But once you have it...it seems like you've had it forever.

Thanks Deryk & Miranda. One step in the right direction, but a baby step. Have not had any bites on the '08 Outback we're trying to sell. I've got it on 3 different Craigslists too! Once that is sold, the big nut is selling my GMC. That will provide cash in hand for more than half a new egg, or maybe buy a used one?

I know it may not help you immediately but when folks start thinking of winter with snow and icy roads that is when they start thinking of awd or 4wd vehicles and the outback will stand out more. Opposite being the best time to purchase a rwd vehicle or convertible up north is when it's winter with a couple of inches on the ground or during a snowstorm. Timing! lol

I know how you feel about selling your stickie. I sold mine Sunday afternoon. Whenever you get your egg, whatever brand it is, you'll love it.

Didn't the Farmer's Almanac and other sources predict a more intense winter this year which included more snow and colder temps including the Super bowl being buried? Hmm! Maybe add to your Outback Craigslist add what is forecasted. Be prepared!

Yes, the Farmer's Almanac did predict a much colder winter. That's a good idea, I need to edit my ads...
My problem is we own the Subaru outright and need to sell it to pay of the GMC so we can sell that free and clear. Selling the Subaru should give us money not only to pay off the truck, but for me to buy a used truck (in part with the money from selling the stickie), then the $ we get from selling the GMC will go towards whatever we get for an egg! Also, it's not like we owe that much on the truck anyways, so if the Subaru doesn't sell right away, we'll concentrate on getting the GMC paid off and that up for sale.
Whew!

Frank,
It may be a cold one as the Farmers Almanac predicts.
2013 had the fewest number of day when the temperature exceeded 100F in the United States in the last 100 years.
Less than 2,000 days recorded above 100F at all federal weather stations. The record was 1936 when there were over 13,000 days over 100F.
Maybe we should all get a Subaru.

Well folks, we're not too far away and have a great one here. Only reason we're selling is because we got a better tug. All this ever did was pull our old speed boat. I took the hitch and plug & play wiring off to sell it, but would happily re-install it for the right folks...
2008 Subaru Outback, 91,000 miles. One owner, non-smoker, 91,000+ miles, professionally maintained, excellent running condition, always garaged (home & work), power locks/windows, all weather mats including cargo area, tonneau cover, heated seats, roof rack, no rust. $11,500.
