A large tire cover on the rear just screams out to have something on it. Wev'e all seen some that catch our eye going down the road, some hard to remember, some hard to forget. I kind of "struck out" when doing ours, it's pretty bland.
So, how about it ! Show us your spare tire cover, please.

Pretty realistic, don't you think?
And it's guaranteed not to fade.

Harold,
I can appreciate the look, although I would caution against leaving the tire itself exposed. Sunlight is one of the primary causes of premature tire failure also known as "Sun-Rot". If you regularly rotate your tire onto the trailer axle you may not need to worry about that. Most of us probably have a like-new tire in the spare position and hope that we'll never need to use them. While I'm hoping to never need mine, I will probably put a cover on ours when we get done with the rebuild, if for no other reason than to extend the life of the tire.
I'm not knockin the woodwork tho, I think it looks great.

We finally replaced our 'Scamp' factory cover, which was in embarrassingly bad condition, and now we have the big white blank. Now we need to find a graphics place to add whatever we decide from the ideas we've been kicking around:
'Alpha & Omega' since this is the first & last RV we expect to own.
'NOT an Italian Shrimp' for those who love our "Scampi"
'Towed Hall' with a nod to another member here who has "Towed Haul" - love it!
'NO regrets' - which is EXACTLY how we feel about full-timin'
and, of course, there's always the good ol' Stars 'n Stripes ...
Wishing safe & happy holidays to all - L 'n D

I'll be replacing my spare tire this coming season, but here's a tail-gaters eye view of what our cover looks like. If you can't make the wordage out, it says: Old Farts Car Club and Day Care Center (matches the plaque on the right side of the trailer) LOL!!!
I am a member of this club (based in Seminole FLA.), it is a true to life club with dues payable yearly....

Hi: Every post I do has our tail covered... Most people take one look and ask "Why do you have Coors Light" on the back of your trailer??? Again!!!

I don't have a picture here - but the Escape has a really nice big red Canadian Maple Leaf - I love it.

I don't have a spare tire mounted on the back of my trailer.
In it's place, I have a large decal usually found on semi trailers:

My 13' Scamp is my little castle on wheels, hence its name, "Taj Mah Small". Folks on the road have had lots of chuckles over it (and my crazy sticker collection too)!

Aha, Chris - thanx for posting your "Taj Mah Small" - I KNEW I'd read that for a member's trailer and couldn't remember whose. It's great! LdB

Our 1978 UNIK Canadian trailer had a deteriorating original tire cover, white with a red maple leaf. We ordered a new white cover. I bought red vinyl from the fabric store; cut out a maple leaf and glued, then machine embroidered it on the new cover. Turned out as a pretty good match to the original. Terry

Well you sure are crafty! I'll remember that... I can't wait till Spring. I'm getting so many ideas and that's when I start my restoration. So many ideas!

Since Carrie's last name is Manor, this was sort of a no-brainer... And, as long as we were adding things..... (and since Carrie has a thing for frogs---looong story there--- also covered up the 800 number- hate advertising) Larry

Trailer: Boler (B1700RGH) 1979

Our Boler has a plain black vinyl cover - no logo, no text. It came with the trailer (covering an old tire), but I would have picked black over white anyway; the trailer is not white (it's kind of beige), and white wouldn't look good for very long with the dirt that accumulates on the back of the trailer.
If it had any advertising on it, I would probably go to the effort to cover or remove that, as I have removed (or refused at purchase time) the dealer badge or sticker on each of our cars. My vehicles are not billboards for retailers.
I think a moulded fiberglass cover in body colour would be nice. No, I'm not going to build one any time soon...
