Steaming the "rat fur"

I know that the "rat fur" in the scamps can be steam cleaned....but can they be professionally cleaned as well? Looking at one that is kind of dirty inside, but in otherwise good condition I think....and I don't have any thing to steam clean it with.....

Dont know why not, when i re-did my door I peeled rat fur off, threw in washer/dryer and re-glued it on, so after that abuse dont know why it couldnt be steam cleaned

Visited WScamp and they said the fabric can be cleaned. I'd giv the factory a call and ask for their recomendation as to method.

Sure, you can use spray-on rug and upholstery cleaner on the rat fur too. Just don't soak it with anything including water. And vacuum well. I know one individual who uses clothes washing detergent (in a spray bottle) and a soft scrub brush... and a HOSE to clean the bottom half of his Scamp door. The rat fur he has in his 5th wheel is the light blue and the Scamp is a 1993 model and the door fabric looks brand new.

I'm not advocating anything, just passing along what I've seen. YMMV
