Here in Oklahoma, all the channels are continuance weather reports.
My radio keeps buzzing with tornado warnings. Not my area so far.

Hope they have already crossed Kansas.

this was the plan:

" I am leaving tomorrow from south central Missouri toward Nevada, Mo. on to Iona, Kan.. then Monday across the southern flint hills to McPherson, Kan., and on up to Mindin, Neb. on Tuesday and wednesday. I will be pulling a 17 ft. Casita with a v-8, mid sized engine, Tundra. An outbreak of severe storms are predicted for tonite in Kansas into sunday morning or so. Hitting West Mo. Sunday eve and advancing toward the rest of Mo.for Monday and Tuesday. I have given myself plenty of time to travel so can be flexible in when and where I stay although I would like to spend Monday p.m. with my niece in McPherson and help keep their combine company under cover.

Your thoughts on unhooking tug from trailer for first night between Ft. Scott-Iona, kans.? "

hope they are ok...i think it was posted 5/18

Thanks for thinking about us. I am in northern Minnesota and waiting for this huge Midwest stuff to move east. Now Wisconsin has the tornado watch tonight.

We just have rain for tonight. Will see what the radar shows tomorrow.

I arrived here today after hitting the storm last night in DesMoines,Iowa. Imogene is supposed to arrive tomorrow, so I'll be sure and tell her to post. Six of us arrived here today.

I arrived safely....spent first nite in a private campground in Iona, Kansas, southern part of state in the Flinthills. The tornado sirens for the town went off for about 15-20 minutes around 8 or 9 pm.. About a dozen of us spent two hours in or near the tornado shelter at the campground....those with I-Phones were tracking the storms and several of them had the hooks one looks for to see if the clouds could be rotating....some were fairly close by. Lots of wind, thunder and lightening. At one point when outside, it got real calm (not a good sign), and several people felt both cold and warm air hitting their bodies.....everyone dove into the shelter. Did meet some nice people who thought to bring water and snacks. Appreciate your asking.
