Hi can anyone in egg land tell me about what to look out for in a 76 Surfside . Just found one listed at a dealer on Vancouver island and I'm on the mainland .So before I spend time and moneyto look at it , hoping someone can tell me more about them .
Thanks
KLaas

Hi KLaas, start with the Buyer's Checklist from the left Nav bar...here.

I'm sure an owner or someone more knowledgeable than I about Surfsides will step up soon.

I'm not aware of any weak spots in a Surfside (I've only had one), just the usual things in a 31 year-old trailer... door hinges, leaky windows, wiring issues; all easily fixed. The axle may not have a lot of boing left in it, not usually a big problem. The most difficulties I have had with my trailer have resulted from questionable previous renovations, so I would say that the cleaner and closer to stock the trailer is, the better off you are. Enjoy your adventure.
