Swamp Kooler

I remember these from way back.
There are still many around this neck of the woods.

Now I see a version made for the RV made in the USA. Runs on 12V.
There web site even shows it mounted on top of bowser's dog house.

Just remember, they only work if it is hot and dry- they don't work if it is hot and humid.

I bought one of these a couple of years ago when I had a pop-up.....mostly to keep the dog cool either in the trailer or the truck. They're quite handy, and can serve double-duty with drinks. I put an elbow connector over the output vent and attached a hose to provide directional cool air

As a boy we would get a wet towel and hang it behind a fan,
or place a fan in front of a pile of ice. And at the least place
a box fan in the window and spend the day sitting in front of it.

A/C? Refrigerators? Color TV? what were those things?

Now, my mom would put a block of ice in a roaster pan on the floor in the car. We would put our bare feet on the ice-seemed to work.

Reminds me of riding in a buddy's car when I was about eight years old. His mom wouldn't stop the car. We peed through the rusted out floor boards.
