There was a 1957 Portafold at one of the Vintage Tin Can rally in Lynden Washington a couple of years ago. It was very cool.

Just checked back on the other photos I took of this set up and the car pulling it was a 1957 as well. Owned by a couple from Surrey B.C.

I like it!
The one restored looks like it is being towed by a Triumph Herald, but it has been a long while since I have seen one.
If I were over there and saw the ad for that one I believe I would go for it.
I think that there is a market for a reasonably priced small camper that can really be towed by a small car.
The key is light weight and low polar moment.
Of course I feel I can tow my Scamp with my VW smogger.

If you can't find a MiniMotel in good condition, look for Esterel vouw wagen caravan, Rapido is another one. They have rigid walls.
Not too hard to find and not that expensive.
