How sad---my dad and I used to watch Soupy all the time. We even wrote the show a fan letter. It was cancelled shortly thereafter-----I was traumatized and never sent another positive letter to a show!!!!

Vickie,
I'm really sure you had nothing to do with his show being canceled so stop kicking yourself for it.

But on the off chance you may have been the cause, could you write some positive letters to the reality shows that are all over the place?

You didn't send him letter, did you?

He was only 6 days younger than my Dad, and he was very much like Soupy. Same era. The link above is the sort of prank my Dad would have played. He had a wicked sense of humour.

pj---what an excellant idea! HOWEVER, I would NEVER send one to my beloved Survivor!!!

Gina---man, I wish Dad was alive so I could ask him "Did you put a dollar in that letter we sent?!?!?"
