Remember "going postal"?

How does "going camping" sound to us outdoorsy types now?

I refuse to yield the description of my very favorite recreation to the Google Monster.

He must be made to change his name...but to what?

Francesca
Several come to mind but they would be frowned upon listing here. So I'll say DoDo fits pretty well.

Well, not this time... But this topic is getting a little long in the tooth, I hope you guys don't try to keep it on Life Support.
I haven't discussed with the other moderators about pulling the plug... YET

Can we talk about using our trailers?

Sure we can talk about using our trailers. I wonder how hard it will be to tow my trailer in the next world 'cause I'm taking mine with when "rapture" happens.

But why pull the plug?
We're all getting along, and what if we need it again in October?
Why not let it "die of its own accord", like most threads? Or at least go temporarily to sleep on its own...
We're nowhere near the length of the "how do you make coffee" thread, first post made in 2006.
And I for one think that this silliness is at least as useful as the subject of : .
OKRA actually has multiple threads, as you yourself thoughtfully remind us in at http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...-26692-15.html
# 209
"FiberglassRV was founded in 2002, and a computer hacker destroyed all of the topics and posts and replaced them with his own political rant in November of 2005. The founder had to totally rebuild the site and add several security measures. The "Legacy Posts" (minus their photographs which were un-recoverable) are all that remain from 2002 to 2005.
Up to that time, the Okra Thread was the longest thread on this site. (30 pages x 14 posts per page = 420 individual posts about Okra!)
Somewhere along the upgrades, the original Okra thread was lost".

I feel the same way. This is listed under "general chat" and is not bothering anyone. Of course, I think most forums are way over-moderated anyway. I have been on one music forum for several years that is so 'milk-toast' that it is unbelievable. But if you express almost any opinion that is not at least 90% inline with everyone else, you are immediately chastised and threatened to be removed from the forum. As a result, everyone sits around talking about how nice the music is and how nice everyone else is and how nice the conversation is and how nice it is to be a part of such a nice group and how nice...etc., etc., etc.

This is one of my new favorite forums, especially with the Android app. I am learning alot even before making my purchase...which is exactly what I want to do. Everyone needs a little diversion occasionally. i thought that was the purpose of "general chat?"

<USELESS TRIVIA WARNING>

And speaking of Okra, I used to be the pianist/organist for the MISS OKRA FESTIVAL in Bells, Tennessee, the okra capital of the world. A large vegetable packing plant is in Bells. You may have seen PictSweet frozen vegetables in the grocery store. Originally the company was called WinterGarden

For over 30 years, they had the Okra Festival in Bells, Tn., complete with rides, okra recipe contests and the Miss Okra Pageant. The Miss Okra winner went on to the Miss Tennessee pageant. Four Miss Okra winners became Miss Tennessee over the years. Here is a link to Miss Okra!!

And besides that, if you don't eat all your okra, you might miss the next rapture!!

Let's just say I'm a little sensitive about this subject.
I may be looking for problems where none exist.

Maybe all you need is a little perspective

IRV 2, one of FGRV's "Sister Sites" here at Social Knowledge | Online Community Network has an ongoing thread on the same subject, and at least two moderators and one administrator have been gleefully playing along !

PLUS-braceyourself- they're more than twenty posts ahead of us
"Sister Site" U2 Interference got tired of the subject pretty fast, but it's just as entertaining...

Check them out when you get a minute!
