Ilove the birds, and the outdoor shots make for a whole new set of ideas. The only woodburning I've done is to paddles i've made and then painted. Here's a few.

Nice looking paddles. I've been getting more and more into NW Indian art. I'm working a pin design of NW Indian fox.

I don't carve but I whittle, does that count? I can make a good pile of shavings and they are handy for fire starting.

My daughter has been wanting to start whittling. A friend, a woodcarver, had suggested the glove and thumb gaurd, but you folks have supplied the name of a good starter book. Thanks for all the suggestions. Im going to have her read this thread!
