the State of things.

We're on our way back staying near Stephensville, NL. The campground owner said that about 50 or so of his customers would be RVers from the USA. Now there are just two of us.

One of the great parts of travel here is the absence of traffic. The Trans Canada (interstate equivalent) is smooth, hilly with lots of passing lanes. Even though it is single lane, not limited access it works well due to limited traffic.

I find I look at the road differently keeping a wider view of the road with my eyes rather than simply looking down the road, aware for moose.

In parts of NL there's a stepping back in time and very worth exploring. In part its like stepping back to possibly your grandparents time or may be even before, particularly in the outports. Seeing NL takes slowing down.

Just some views. We already have a list for our next trip. Hoping for next year.

Today we drove the road to Burgeo NL, a community over 100 miles from another community by car. The drive down is beautiful thru mountains, lakes and forest, constantly on the look out for moose. We saw 20 vehicles on the drive down to an outport of 1500. Thr ride requires pot hole dodgem.

We arrived and ate lunch mentioning to Joy, the proprietor. that the museum was closed. She said call June and she'll come down. We looked around the restuarant and saw prints of thread paintings We went to the museum and learned all about them and got sent on to the hospital where they had a large one. The first picture is a portion of one. The second one is of Sands Prov Park, miles of sandy beach. We learned a ton there and will be back for an extended stay.
