That's beautiful, James! Thanks for sharing... Trees down this way don't ever get to looking like that. (Their leaves fall off from lack of rainfall before cold weather gets a chance to do that!)

And, thanks for resurrecting the thread. It was a favorite the first time around!

North Georgia looks similar to Ontario, with all the color. This is the view in front of my house, looking up towards the bluff on Lookout Mountain. It's a lovely maple tree.

What a beautiful maple tree! The colors this year are the best I've seen in years!

Have you ever been to Cloudland Canyon State Park? My wife and I want to take our Casita to that park.

Took this photo in southwest Virginia two weeks ago.

Hi Bob,
Cloudland Canyon is a beautiful park and within a half hours drive from us. I've been there many times, from high school picnics all the way to hosting the SHO Rally from Atlanta when my son was their president. The park has spectacular scenery, good hiking trails, waterfalls and some real ups and downs to the falls. The camping sites are great and it's an easy drive to Rock City, and Chattanooga. I hope you will plan to visit it and let us know when you do so we can visit with you.
Here's a shot of my son and grandchildren on the swinging bridge at Rock City with Chattanooga in the background.

Thanks!

I spent my high school years in Ellijay and went hiking and backpacking all over north Georgia. My dad even had a business in Chattanooga, but somehow we never got over to Cloudland Canyon (despite the fact that my mother kept making plans for us to go).

We're thinking we'll go after our trip in two years to the Grand Tetons/Yellowstone National Parks.

The colors are changing quickly and some are fading fast. I just ran outside to snap this picture with it's variety of colors. (And I hate to rake leaves)
