The Wedding

We traveled to Santa Fe with the Scamp for our youngest son's wedding. The bride was beautiful and late. I wore cowboy boots. It rained but it was a good but too short of time with the kids. Looks like my husband still has it with the camera. Blew a tire on the way down and on the way back. Second one blew a hole in through the plywood. Greg reinforced both sides with sheet metal in case it should happen again. I now have 16" tires. Met a couple with a Casita at the campground that actually ordered real tires for their rig.

Congratulations to the newly weds!

Sorry to hear about the blowouts. Not fun ever!

Give us the story on the tires; brand, size, pressure, age, etc. We all learn from our own experience and that of others. And, of course you piqued my interest with the mention of 'real' tires.

Thanks.

We put on two quality 16 trailer tires from Tractor Supply in Raton. We now can go 5 miles an hour faster compared to the 70 MPG I was going when the tire blew. We encountered rough highways and the tires were originals. The guy in Santa Fe put on a D3 tire. An actual car tire. We toured the Casita, liked it's plumbing and the door.
