This Could Make a Rainy Day Better
You are sitting in your nice dry camper listening to the rain and not feeling sorry for those poor suckers in their leaky tents and pop-ups until you discover at about midnight when it's time to go to bed you are going to be just as wet as them. Our 5th wheel has the sliding windows that can't even begin to keep the rain out and the awning is a mere sunshade. We are looking into adding drip guards like they have above the doors to the front windows and under the awning. This preferably would be something adhesive and fiberglass which could be done by anyone who works with fiberglass.

Try this: Drip Cap
These are aluminum and are designed to be screwed on. You might be able to glue them - Anybody out there with experience?
There are plastic drip guards that can be purchased by the foot and glued on. Don't have a url, though.
Good Luck

Cyndi when we had our first trailer, a little '87 Burro, our sliding windows leaked, even after we redid caulking around them. Our biggest investment, and most worthwhile, in that little trailer was having professional window folks put in new windows - we had that trailer for 12 yrs. and never had another leaky window, and hopefully the new owners will never have a problem either. All windows were tight when new, and new ones can be tight again. Even with something above the window, rain can blow in. So my recommendation would be save your pennies and get professional help!

If you're looking for a stick on cure for water running over the top of the windows, check out: Essential Products RV & Marine Camping World sells the stuff by the foot.

Donna,
One can order from this site by the foot - minimum 10' order. 25' = $48.00

I put the EZ RV gutters over the rounded door of my Aliner and it completely stopped my leak problem there. I highly recommend it.

Cyndi, aren't you saying that the rain is coming in the slider windows, drip guards above won't help because it's not the rain that is running down the trailer as much as it is the rain that is hitting the screen and coming in the open window.
I solved the problem with WindowMaxx's. I've had them on for some 9 years now and they are a gods sent. They allow you to have the window open about 4 inches when raining and then all the way when not raining.

Joy, I think that's the solution we're looking for. We loved the jalousie windows in our 1983 Scamp 13. Our new trailer has the sliding windows and it only took one rain to realize we needed to find something that would allow us to keep the windows open, even just a little, when it rained. Did you install them yourself and was it difficult?

My husband says we should look into getting those. I will probably have to stick a doll rod in for a stop so I make sure I don't push the window past the 4". Entirely possible since everytime it rains I swear I have them shut.
