Humm, looks interesting, but I don't think I've ever seen it here. That's not saying much however

Weird looking thing, not all that purdy. (IMHO)
Maybe if fixed up nice, though.

I also found the article interesting in it mentions the Amerigo is only seven feet high so it can fit in a standard garage. The low centre of gravity is ideal for towing with a compact car...

Umm... WOW! Does that ever look like a cool lots of work! The panels around the wheels don't line up with the rest of the fibreglass, do you think that they are removable? What are the boxes in them?
At $300, I would be way too tempted if it wern't 29hrs away.

I'd buy it in a second if it wasn't so far away. Even as an empty shell. Not too crazy about the drop down deck. Seems like a lot of extra weight for what amounts to a tent, but still cool.

At $300, even if it is gutted, it would make a good utility trailer with the opening back. Who ever got it, they got a good deal.

Proud new owner of the Apeco Small World
I am the new owner of the Apeco Small World from the dayton craigslist! I finally got it up in the driveway and am in the first stages of giving it a complete overhaul. I am moving to the Yucatan peninsula in May and will be living in it full time for probably 1 year and teaching English. I have SO many questions; I have never owned a trailer before and this one is both unusual and in need of lots of repair. Right now, we have started gutting the interior (the walls & ceiling were completely insulated, lots of heavy wood built-in stuff and the fold down back door is sealed shut; one of the owners was using it as a office in the cold). There are issues with the base frame and the tires; I will take it in to my mechanic-tire guy next week to get the low-down on those issues but I am SO excited about the camper! It totally fits my personality and I am hoping to give the interior a livable but Star-Trekkish look! For $250, the guy threw in this crazy propane stove/grill/sink combo and a fridge.
I will be on here quite a bit over the next few weeks with questions! Any advice would be great!
