Exclamation Another view

Well, polyamory and poly can be interpreted from Polly. And with three parrots, ever hear of a "menage a trois."

My wife has had a parrot for over 30 years (and me for nearly as long) and I have never heard of this connection, so we would have been surprised as well. Yes, the parrot has travelled with us in the Boler (and other RVs), but we've never displayed a sign or logo.

Information is good. Lack of information is not so good, but misinformation is much worse. Check facts, and apply common sense liberally.

I love that one, brings me back to my AF years, lol.
I also heard of the red lights but only saw that in Mexico and if I ever do see it in a camp ground that would be the last thing to enter my mind.
Yes I had to do a search on symbols and came out with this. There is none. At least not one. Some clubs ect ect may have their own symbol but there is no one symbol. So either I was being played as a joke or maybe there was a club in the CG that weekend. Either way my parrot sign means nothing. Now the parrot head is in fact a Jimmy B thing, 5 o'clock somewhere which I think most of us know..
I also learn other things that I cant not unlearn.

Had me worried! I was frantically trying to remember if I had any parrots on my trailer! Thankfully, they're all flamingos and herons!

You have not crossed a line, yet.
This was what I thought about too.
  • Parrot = Polly
  • "Poly" = many
  • 3 Parrots saying welcome = (wink, wink, nod, nod)

Were any of the parrots on your sign winking? Your Parrot sign means nothing to you, but it apparently meant something to the people who approached you.

When subcultures within a society need to communicate, they resort to symbols and code. Good code means nothing or is gibberish to those persons that the communication is NOT intended for.

Red light districts are where ladies of the night ply their trade. Anyone who displays a red light of any kind often opens themselves up to some friendly ribbing.

Not for real with a TT, but if you do display a red light at all, you better be ready to take some good natured joking about it. I would even do it myself, just to be controversial, but I am a bit weird that way.
