Thank you all. The traveling Geezers send holiday wishes from near Corpus Christi, TX. Spent Christmas Eve strolling the grounds of the beautiful Texas Capital Bldg amid lights, horse-drawn carriages and goodwill t'ward all ... pretty neat.
Hope everyone enjoyed doing egg-actly what he/she wished. All good things in the New Year L 'n D

As the day winds down, the gifts have been opened and all is well in our world, our thoughts
turn to those less fortunate. All those who are spreading the cause of freedom and defending the ideals of our society, those in law enforcement and the firefighters who are hard at work, those unfortunate travellers that were delayed due to storms and may not have arrived at their destinations in time for Christmas, those who are ill and particularly the homeless we pray that your lives improve greatly in the coming year.
Merry Christmas to you and yours and thank you for your wishes!

I bet I can top anyone's Christmas gift. Last night we were having a Christmas eve with my oldest son, when my youngest son called from Idaho (we live in southern Oregon) and said his wife was in labor and to get on the road. We missed the actual birth at 10 am mountain time, but were there to cuddle, love and coo over our first grandson, born on Christmas day. He was a little early but we sure won't send him back. He was worth the nine hour drive over two passes.
Give him a few years and he will be out camping with his grandparents. We can't wait.

Isn't the general rule here potty trained? After that they're fair game to take anyplace the proud grandparents want to.
By the way you an additional duty to perform. You have to keep up the tradition of all grandparents, that is to spoil the grandkids as much as can get away with.

What, spoil the kids?
Why that,s our job. It's the parents responsibility to try and correct them LATER.

Linda & Dale,
Yup...you've got us beat! Congratulations
Anticipating the future is what keeps us all going
Enjoy the occasion. The miracle of birth tops all but one other gift which is what we celebrate this season.
Thanks for sharing your joy.

Linda & Dale,
Well, you beat us by a week. The Lord blessed our daughter and son-in-law with the first baby born in 2007 @ Redland's Community Hosp. (In Redlands, Calif.) @ 1:16AM while I was on floor 3 struggling with a heart prob. We are all home now enjoying the new year. Morgan Elizabeth was 5#, 12 oz., 19" and "cute as a bug's ear".
We are looking forward to spoiling her but it seems as if we are going to have to take a back seat to her 7 yr old brother, Sean. He appears to have laid claim to the title of primary spoiler.
Life is truly wonderful.
