Torsion Axle adjustment
I have a 2016 - 13 ft with a Lippert torsion axle.
Does any one know if the down angle can be adjusted to allow for a higher lift?
I have contacted Lippert but thought I would ask here.
Bill

Generally there's nothing to adjust on a rubber torsion axle. The angle is set at the time of manufacture. I just checked the Lippert manual for their axles and they make no mention of theirs having any adjustment for angle.

I believe only Flexride has an adjustable spindle arm. Dexter makes a lift kit for its axle that can add a couple of inches in height. Unfortunately Scamp welded the axles on until recently. If your axle is bolted, perhaps Lippert makes a similar kit. If not then perhaps a spring and chassis shop could do a custom lift. Raz

Contact Orbital Machine Works, (Perfectcasita.com) They sell lift blocks for Dexter axles. They worked on a Scamp and found the Lippert axles have a different bolt spacing. I think they may be able to help you.

I bought the Flexiride axle so that I could fine tune the ride height of my modified Scamp.
The recommended down angle will give a longer throw and softer ride.
Mine is about level with the larger wheels and tires.

The new axle that I am putting into my trill136 has a 'splined' connection at the arm/torsion junction.
The supplier told me that this is specifically to allow for adjustment.
The original axle, outside of being worn out, had no adjustments.

Just for clarification. The adjustment here is for height only. It is not intended to compensate for wear.

Lippert is non-adjustable
Lippert customer service said their axles are non adjustable.
I was going to put a 3x2 lift on my 2016 -13ft but when I looked there is already a 2 x 3 channel welded under the frame that the axle mounts to.
I am going to look and see if I should grind this one off and weld a 2 x 5 channel to the frame thus eliminating multiple joints.

That is correct. I am adding a 2" X 3" rectangular tube to the existing frame and have the arms installed at 22.5 deg down angle. I may need to adjust for final ride height.

Another useful feature is that if you damage one spindle you can change it. Without the splined arms. the whole axle would need to be replaced.

As far as I know the Flexible is the only adjustable torsion axle available.
The arms are shorter so an adjustment must be made when replacing a Dexter or ALKO.
