After paying attention to all the tow vechicles here, it seems that I might have the only 4 cylinder vehicle on here. The Ventura is 1500 lbs. and I did check with the GM dealer the capabilities of my 2005 GM Colorado, five speed, standard, and extended cab. He looked it up and I am supposed to be good to 2000 lbs. I am going to get the electric brakes hooked up when I go down island. I could sure use a little feed back from anyone else that has a similiar vehicle.

Use the "Search" feature at the top of the page and try keywords like "Honda Element" "4cyl towing" and etc.

The sales brochure for the 5 cyc 2006 Chev Colorado Ext. Cab, automatic trans, and 3.73 differential ratio states a GCVR of 9,000 lbs. Maximum trailer weight is 4,000 lbs. Tongue weight max. is 500 lbs. I don't think these are any different than the 2005 model.

3500 mi one way, my Burro goes about 2200 lb. loaded, no brakes, no problem.
