Please help,

I find many camp sites in the Trailer Life directory that lists them as "public corps". Does this mean they are Corps of Engineers sites or something done on a local basis?

I am not asking about those listed simply as "public" as I am assuming that these are provided by the local town/county etc.

Judith, I don't have a Trailer life book handy, but I think your correct in that it's Corps of Engineers. But there should be a explanation of Trailer life verbiage in the front of the book somewhere . Good Luck...........

I looked, but they seem to have missed an explanation for that.

Taking a known COE campground , Thomson Causeway, in IL. and checking Trailer Life's book I would say yes Public Corps stands for Army Corp of Engineers.

Thompson is very nice by the way.
