Trailer Shipping Advice

I'm searching for a nice used 19' or 21' Bigfoot or Escape Trailer. I hope to find one close to home, but I may have to ship within the CONUS. Anyone with recent experience shipping a trailer, both pros and cons, would be greatly appreciated! Jeff

Seriously, it is easier to get a car transported than even a 13ft fiberglass travel trailer. Of course it can be done.

Living on the left coast you will find more Escapes closer to home and probably BigFoots as well.
Even if you find one at some distance, ask yourself this one question...
Why would I buy a Travel Trailer if I didn't want to travel???
Going to fetch a trailer can be one of the best travel trailer experiences.
I have often retrieved project trailers from long distances. Even if time is a factor you can really make a lot of distance into a two or three day round trip.
It is a lot of fun and you are only towing one way!

Also, many sellers will deliver or meet you part way, which a good choice if you are confident in the purchase. I once delivered one a thousand miles from home. Of course you will need to pay at least part of the expenses.

Someone on the Uhaul Facebook site bought a camper in NY and had it shipped to NC by U-Ship. No problem that I'm aware of.

There is a 21' Bigfoot trailer on the lot at Mike's RV in Central Point for several months now. It is a 2002 and looked good overall from a cursory look. It's still listed on their website: Home Page and that's not too far from Bend.

That was their first year! Must be in the single digits of production.

2002 was in fact the first year Escape made a trailer but it sure wasn't a 21'

Edit to add: the OP should actually phone Escape and ask them who they use to transport all their trailers around NA.
