Trailer Talk Lingo

Let's share the specialized "Trailer Talk Lingo" in this thread so we can refer to it when we are stumped as to what fellow FGRVers are talking about. Following are some starters...
TV - Tow Vehicle
Jalousie - Windows that have glass slats that open and close with a crank handle
Canned ham - Vintage trailers made of metal in the shape of a canned ham

STINGER: the removable section of a receiver-type hitch, the drawbar to which the coupler ball is attached, so-called by reference to the pain that results from accidental contact with one's shins.

TOAD: motor vehicle towed behind a moho. Alternately dinghy or dinghy tow.

MOHO: self-propelled motorhome.

DINGHY: toad.

S.O.B.: "Some other brand" of camper/travel trailer; said of non-molded or stick-built trailers.

STICKY or STICK-BUILT: camper or travel trailer of frame and skin construction.

TUG: Tow vehicle or TV.

FIVER: Trailer designed to be towed by a truck with an in bed hitch.

HILO: trailer whose upper walls and roof can be lowered or collapsed over the lower walls for travel. Evolutionary dead end.

SLIDER: small burger or alternatively a projection from trailer which increases floor area and retracts into trailer for travel. The next evolutionary dead end?

BOONDOCKING = Camping without any services.
CAMPGROUND = Minimal services, no hookups.
FULL HOOKUPS = RV PARK
RV PARK = RV RESORT.

I have to argue with this one- to me, campgrounds can have utility sites with hookups (rarely full hookups which to me includes sewer but to some also includes cable tv.)

What Rabbit refers to as a "stinger" I've always known as a ball mount.

I guess we'll just have to disagree. I don't stay in RV Parks or Resorts, no hookups for me. That's closer to camping than RVing.

I don't stay in RV resorts, I stay in campgrounds. And the ones I stay in have everything from rustic sites (no utilities, you boondock in them) to electric-only, electric with water, and then full hookup (with sewer). Many times the RV Resorts don't have public facilities because the RVs are all fully contained. My sister stays the summer in an RV resort, and no public restrooms at all

Glamping = Glamorous Camping. This can be something as simple as a tent with lace curtains, or a dolled up trailer like mine (which some also refer to as 'glampfoolery' or 'frou-frou').
Silicone = the devil's bane of sealants.
Slab-Side or Big White Box = the newer style of campers with laminated panel sides.
Belly Band = the horizontal seam around campers like bolers/trilliums/scamps.
IMO = In My Opinion
