Trailer themed music
Hey everyone,
Not sure if I am the only one who gets a particular song in their heads when I am working on/packing up my trailer. This is mine:
It got me thinking: This fall, some friends of mine are getting married and I am lending them my trailer to take on their honeymoon down the west coast to San Francisco. I'd like to leave a trailer themed playlist in their car as a farewell surprise. I thought maybe people on this forum would have ideas of what I should put on it. Suggestions?
Thanks!

Without a doubt George did one of the best about Casitas! You have to check it out.

The classic that sticks in my head is "Going Mobile" by The Who. It's the original caravan theme song!
Vic and I are actually thinking of having that monogrammed onto our spare tire cover.

Not exactly camping trailer but Wolf Creek Pass is a classic. Having been there all I can say is he aint' just a woofing. It's one twisty, steep pass.

How about thinking of Willie Nelson and "On The Road Again" when pulling out of the driveway on a new trip or leaving an RV park!

Take It Easy by the Eagles
I second 'On the Road Again' and would add 'Take It Easy' by the Eagles, 'Ramblin' Man' by the Allman Brothers, 'Me and Bobby McGee' by Janice Joplin, 'Turn the Page' by Bob Seeger, and Dillon's 'Like a Rolling Stone'.
Great idea, may make one of my own,
David

These are all great. Someone should put them on a compilation CD. Or am I the only one still listening to CD's?

Whenever we take off, "On the Road Again" plays for the first five miles and sticks in my head for the next fifty!
"Be careful with that shifter!" I say, having driven Wolf Creek Pass both ways.

Haha! Tom - my Subaru is one year too old to have an auxiliary jack and one year too new to have a tape deck so I am planning on making this into a cd of some kind - it's my only music option in my car until I get a new stereo.
Keep the suggestions coming! These are all great. Also, now I want to go through that pass!

This song has absolutely nothing to do with trailers of any kind, but it's my all-time favorite road song. If I'm in my ride and this comes on the radio, my right foot automatically goes to the floor. One of life's little mysteries is why Golden Earring was a "One-Hit wonder Band". Neat video too!

Well, I pulled out of Pittsburgh,
Rollin' down the Eastern Seaboard.
I've got my diesel wound up,
And she's running like never before.
There's a speed zone ahead, all right,
I don't see a cop in sight.
Six days on the road and I'm gonna make it home tonight.

When you have that CD made, and you think it is pretty good (I'll trust you on that), I want to buy one!
Wolf Creek Pass is in southern Colorado, Rt.160. A beautiful trip. And they have runaway-truck ramps there to catch the chickens.

Cheryl Wheeler's Alice
Here's another one to add . Just saw Cheryl Wheeler performing on a farm overlooking the Westport River this evening. The chorus could be our theme song.
