Well, it took us all day, but our trailer is back in the storage lot, all cleaned up, looking all lonely, depressed and forlorned (kinda like its owners).
We just got back from a 43 day trip, 35 days of which we dry camped, high up in various National Forest campgrounds in Colorado.
Just Pam, the dog and I, tucked into the most isolated campsites we could find. No power, no phone, no television reception, maybe one radio station (after dark).
Talk about heaven on earth!
Unfortunately, the days just flew by.
The trip was over ... way, way too soon.
After I get over my depression at being home, I'll give some more details.
I did get to meet up with two of my
fiberglass buddies ... George C (in Durango) and Augie B (in Salida) ... when we came down out of the mountains to charge up the Jump-its, clean up the clothes, refill the
fridge.
But for the most part, it was just Pam, the dog, the silence and me.
Yup, it ended way, way, too soon.
