Traveling in Style

I'm reading Clive Cussler's Inca Gold and this is the picture on the jacket cover of a 1936 Pierce-Arrow and Travelodge. Now that's traveling in style.

Dirk does always seem to have a cool ride, although he usually tears them up before the end of the book.

You might buy one here:

Clive has apparently had great success writing books. I have two of his that tell about all the sunken ships he has financed the search for, the most significant being the search for and finding the Civil War submarine Hunley, now under restoration in Charleston SC. We went to see it a few years ago.
