Hi everyone, for those traveling to the Okanagan or northern BC or planning on going through BC to the Yukon, you might need to plan a new route. We are very dry right now and are having a major issue with forest fires.
still relatively benign to non-existent in the coast mountains and on the Island (zero)....I heard from a friend of mine in the Pemberton Valley that the place is starting to fill up with smoke from the Interior fires though....
heading north tomorrow....maybe as far as Port Hardy......"north of CR" is a really good spot at this time of year...

Originally thought the 'fog zone' was a psychological condition! But the west coast of Vancouver is still pretty safe. Don't even have camfire bans there. Just another reason to visit Port Renfrew, Tofino and Ukee!
