I've never seen a Trillium boat or knew they existed.

Thanks for sharing!

I wonder if Trillium boats and Trillium trailers are made by the same company? The names might be a coincidence, but the text does looks like Carl's avatar.

The TRILLIUM lettering on the side of the boat is the exact same as my trailer (or any 5500). Same orange color, same font, even looks the same size. The boat has an orange stripe just like my trailer too. Same fiberglass color too.

Well that pretty much confirms that Trillium made boats AND trailers.
I'm surprised at the 1992 year for "out of business".

Dave will have to add a section to his serial numbers list!!

There is another one on Kijiji for sale as well. It's interesting but not surprising as a couple fiberglass trailer manufactures also dabble in boats as I believe the processes are similar.

Still pretty cool find though never would have thought to look for a Trillium boat!!

Well, there is a Trillium lake in Oregon with a boat launch and a Trillium campground. They are in the Mt Hood National Forest. All the pieces are starting to fit together.

They may have suspended building prior to that date but it may have taken a few years before the company name Trillium Industries was formally closed.

It may have been about that time that the crew in Alberta picked up the licensing of use of the name. I do not recall what year they started making the trailers under the Trillium name in Alberta before they also stopping for a time and then one of the partners took the name south.

I have been in contact with Tom Young. He confirms that Trillium made about 200 boats. From his email:
"Yes, Trillium did build boats - quite a few.
Most were V-6 OMC IOs, and they were very fast due to the small size. (I think they were only 15'.)"
