Coconino National Forest near Happyjack. Maybe 90 min or more from Cristofer Creek, Where did you go from there on your last trip?. Did you visit the fish hatchery on Tonto creek. That whole area is my stomping grounds. Upper Tonto, Horton springs, Sharp, Ponderosa, 9350 rd, Knoll lake and the 6 or 7 campgrounds on top by Woods Canyon are all favorite spots I hit a few times a season. The 300 rd runs across and comes out on the Pine,Strawberry side. Tons of history and great views. Railroad tunnel, Apache wars battle ground, Crook trail etc, etc.

I went to Christopher Creek CG (Most xlnt!) and I wandered up to upper Tonto, but didn't go to the hatchery.
