Sure do appreciate you taking the time to fill us in. I think a lot of us have been waiting/curious for some feedback. You are right 16k is a big amount and flush toilet brings it to approx 17k but I'm sure it will give you back many years or service. Congrats on your new purchase

I had a question I was curious about, next time you happen to chit-chat with chandler. Are the windows mounted in wood then screwed all the way around into that wood? On the interior photos it looks like screws go all the way around the window frame. I'm know i'm not explaining right but here is an example of what I'm talking about is how the Trillium is made in these photos. Thanks.

Brake controllers don't normally get supplied with trailers, so that will be an extra item to shop for.

Sounds like you are on disability, eh? My wife has that now too, since they took out a bunch of colon. If you really want to work, it's not impossible... if you find the right independent contractor situation.

Harry;

Thanks for all the information on the ParkLiner. It is very helpful.

It sounds like you're a retired Navy. When I have worked on Navy bases, I have noticed that most if not all of them have camp grounds on the base where Vets are allowed to stay at very reasonable rates. The camp ground at the Navy base in Oxnard was to die for. Steps from the beach in Southern California for ~$30/mo (back in 1995). I wish I could stay there. The public camp ground down the road is 2x to 3x that per night and the waiting list is over a year.

I wonder how they fit a QUEEN size bed AND bunks AND a shower into a 15ft long trailer? Scamp/Casita doesnt offer that large of a bed in their 16's having an extra foot to work with. The Deluxe Scamp can have a 54" bed but a Queen is 60". Trillium has a 15 ft trailer but you cant have a bath and bunks. Sounds like Chandler has definately worked some magic in a small amount of space. May swing in on my way to or from WY this summer for a look. I like that he offers propane systems.

Maybe because the 16' Scamp is really 13' inside and the Parkliner is 15', not sure but some rv companies include tongue length in their measurements, so you have to determine the actual inside dimensions of each.

Inside length on the Parkliner is really 12ft.

To fit a dinette that converts into a queen bed they Parkliner made the kitchen a little smaller (mainly by reducing the size on the refrigerator) on one side and shifting the 2 person dinette/bunk forward to the front corner. Since the dinette goes all the way into the corner, they shifted/compressed the bathroom over and made the closet smaller. The space reduction in the bathroom basically comes out of the shower. If you opt for the cassette toilet it slides into a compartment covered by a shower curtain and is out of the way. If you opt for Optional Flush Toilet, it will be taking a shower with you.

When i go to the web site I can't seem to find pictures of the inside front of the trailer (bathroom), nor a layout diagram. Did I miss them? Raz

Here is a floorplan that I received from Parkliner and just received permission to post (assuming I can figure out how to post an attachment). I think this might shed a little more light on their arrangements.

Thanks, Mike! The visual and numbers really help. Hmmmm, looks like if Hubby slept on the street side and I slept on the curbside (since I'm only 60" tall if I really stretch, lol) one could have twin beds and avoid the crawl over.
